USS Ancon AGC 4

This was the ship on which my Dad was transported during his Strategic Bombing Survey photographic
missions in Japan. He was not a member of the ship's company, but was instead a "military passenger".

It was his "home" on the water, as was the case for the many sailors and officers aboard.

One of the Ancon's Naval Officers was LTC Graham Jones

My Dad has a copy of the Ancon "History and Highlights of the
U S S Ancon", published 2 Sept 1945.  Here's my "Web Copy".

This ship is one of the "Panama Line", and was returned to that 
line, on 25 Feb 1946, after it's service in the war.  Go visit the
